THE COURTS CAPE CORAL WEATHER POLICY
Dangerous Weather Information & Evacuation Protocol
The Courts Cape Coral is equipped with a lightning detection and warning system designed to ensure the safety of all patrons and staff. When the system detects hazardous weather conditions, all outdoor activities are immediately suspended, and the facility will close until conditions are deemed safe.
Patrons are required to comply fully with all system alerts and staff instructions without exception. These procedures are in place to protect everyone on-site and must be followed at all times.
System Protocol
Lightning Detected (Within 10 Miles):
The warning siren will sound, signaling that The Courts Cape Coral is closing due to unsafe weather conditions.
→ All patrons must evacuate the premises immediately and take shelter in their vehicles.Facility Closures:
During an active lightning alert, the Café, Restrooms, and Pro Shop will also close until further notice.All Clear Signal:
The All Clear will not be issued until at least 30 minutes after the last detected lightning strike within range.
→ The siren will sound three times to indicate that it is safe to resume outdoor activities.Evening Alerts:
If the system activates after 7:00 PM, The Courts Cape Coral will remain closed for the remainder of the day.- Facility Closing:
If there is severe weather (heavy rain) with the forecast showing more of the same at 7:00 PM or after, The Courts Cape Coral will remain closed for the remainder of the day. Non-Compliance:
Any patron or member who fails to follow this protocol may have their access privileges revoked without refund.
